'On this episode, I am joined by my friends Kevin and Karen to make \"Gotcha Pork Roast\" from Food Wars. This dish requires a bit of technique, but if you are able to pull it off, you will not be disappointed. Ingredients: - 3 potatoes - 1/2 onion - Some mushrooms (equivalent amount of onion) - Bacon - Salt and pepper - Red wine - Butter - Soy sauce - Rosemary (which we forgot to use) Instructions 1) Peel and cut potatoes. Boil in water until soft (usually 15-20min) 2) Dice onion and mushrooms. Fry in a pan with a little bit of olive oil until you get a nice color. 3) Knead and mash the potatoes, onions, and mushrooms together. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 4) Place your mixture on plastic wrap. Wrap mixture as shown in the video. Place mixture in the fridge for 5-10 minutes so that it can firm up. 5) Unwrap the mixture and take out of the plastic wrap. Place mixture onto strips of bacon and wrap with the bacon. Tie everything together with butcher\'s twine so it does not fall apart. (You can also stab in little leaves of rosemary into the bacon, which we did not do). Cook for 40-50 minutes at 380 Fahrenheit. 6) Pour 1/2 bottle of red wine into pan. Put in 1-1.5 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 spoonful of butter. Let simmer on low heat until roast is cooked. 7) Take roast out of the oven, pour sauce over the roast, cut it, locate all the umami, eat... and enjoy your food as much as Kevin did.
