'On February 8, 2018, the Lundquist College of Business hosted the successful Careers in Food and Beverage event in the Lillis Business Complex. More than 50 industry professionals participated in various events throughout the day. Of the 20 businesses that set up tables during our atrium event, close to half of them were either started by Lundquist College graduates or had Lundquist graduates in high-level positions within the company. Many of the businesses that took part in the day used the opportunity to connect with students about potential careers. For some, it was their first opportunity to connect with the University of Oregon campus. The event also included four panel discussions focused on various parts of the industry, including marketing, sustainability, finance, and entrepreneurship. Sixteen industry professionals took part in the discussions which were open to faculty, staff, students, and other industry professionals.'
