'Despite a timeline to reopen from July, many small businesses in Britain fear an uncertain future as COVID-19 safety measures will still be in place. With no vaccine or treatments for COVID-19, the food and beverage industry is not convinced they can reopen safely, or at all. The government has offered billions of dollars in support for the hospitality sector through rate cuts, loans and a job retention scheme. But industry leaders have said if that is not extended, millions of jobs will be lost and as many as 30% of businesses will shut for good.
