'Capturing video of hummingbirds is great fun. It\'s easier when they are attracted to a hummingbird feeder. You can buy commercially prepared formulas but making your own is easy and inexpensive. Simply add 4 tablespoons (1/4 cup) table sugar to 1 cup of water to a glass measuring cup. Microwave on High for 4 minutes. Use a glass container (measuring cup) rather than plastic. Let cool. Pour into the hummingbird feeder - that\'s it! No artificial colouring is added or needed. The brightly coloured feeders will attract the birds just fine. When the feeder is empty thoroughly clean between filling. Bleach will work to rid of any molds but thoroughly rinse before re-filling.'
