'Committed to the food security of indigenous Mayan communities'

'As part of the Project “Quichpan Ixi-im (Good Corn)” from Santa Cruz Village, Toledo, Belize. 8 beneficiary young people (4 Females, 4 Males) were selected to visit Agricultural Facilities in Central Farm and San Antonio Village, Cayo District.   The goal is to provide training and knowledge for proper land use to employ food security for the communities.   At the sites visited the participants also learned about different types of organic fertilizers for proper plant growth and climate change adaptation.    This learning experience was made possible through ACICAFOC, a PAICC program financed by the German Ministry of Cooperation through the KFW Bank, Uchbenka K’in Ajaw Association, FAO and Central Farm Research, Development & Innovation Center.    #PAICC #Belize #UchbenKah #maya #centralfarm #foodsecurity'
