'A cooking team from Chattanooga will be on the national stage, starting tonight, on the Food Network Channel. The Great Food Truck Race is a show on the Food Network Channel where eight teams of rookies go on a cross country culinary road trip. Each team gets a food truck for the show and only the winner gets to keep it. One trio is from Chattanooga - the Chatty Chicken Truck. \"Here you are you have Knoxville, Nashville and Memphis. They chose somebody out of Chattanooga, and I thought that was pretty cool,\" said Greg Carder, Sr. Meet the Chatty Chicken Truck, a family team: Greg Carder Senior (dad), Greg Carder Junior (son), and Megan Jones (daughter). Carder Sr. was a culinary arts teacher at Rhea County High School, Carder Jr. used to own a deli, and Jones is an estetician. All three love to cook and the Food Network Channel. \"We actually, believe it or not, found it on Craig\'s List and thought hey this is really cool, \'The Great Food Truck Race.\' We thought it was a joke at first,\" said Carder, Sr. They decided to send in their bios anyways. About one year later, Carder, Sr. got a call from the Food Network Channel in Los Angeles. The family\'s latest venture was a burger stand, which was going downhill, so it seemed like perfect timing. \"Food trucks to me are just cool,\" said Carder, Sr. \"It\'s the whole thing of just going to different locations being able to be mobile,\" said Greg Carder Jr. \"To be able to work with your kids and your family - that\'s awesome,\" said Carder Sr. The Chatty Chicken truck specialty is fried chicken made with a tasty batter of buttermilk and a few secret ingredients. The trio also makes specialty sauces. \"It\'s a little bit of this and that,\" said Carder, Sr. Teams quickly learn owning a food truck isn\'t all fun and games. \"The challenge on the show was just a lot of last minute things that we needed to get done which I can\'t really say much but definitely, definitely viewers need to watch,\" said Megan Jones. The winning team gets the prize of lifetime, to keep the keys to their food truck and $50,000 in cash. The first episode airs tonight on the Food Network Channel at 9 p.m. EST.
