'The nature of Australia’s food regulatory system is that it is reactive, largely application-driven and constrained by ad-hoc policies often bearing no relationship with each other. Despite this, it can deliver outcomes that support innovation. What is the role of the food industry in defining success when it comes to food regulation? This question will be explored through the lens of novel food reforms. Presented by the Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology Panellists: Fiona Fleming, Managing Director, Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology Chris Preston, Principal Legal Counsel, ComplyANZ Ashna Gobin, Student Bachelor Food and Nutrition, Member of winning team-AIFST Student Product Development Competition, 2019'
