'The Common Myna, Acridotheres tristis, is omnivorous and feeds on insects, arachnids, crustaceans, reptiles and small mammals. It takes seeds, grain and fruits and discarded waste from human habitation. The generic name \'Acridotheres\' means \'grasshopper hunter\'.
