'These instructions by food safety and standards Authority of India (FSSAI) Safe Thawing. Food must be kept at a safe temperature during defrosting. Foods are safe indefinitely while frozen; however, as soon as food begins to defrost and become warmer than 40°F, any bacteria that may have been present before freezing can begin to multiply. Never thaw food at room temperature or in warm water. Kitchen Fact: The safest place to thaw frozen food is in the refrigerator. The refrigerator is the safest method of thawing food because it keeps the food out of the \"Danger Zone\" (temperatures between 40°F and 140°F, where bacteria multiplies rapidly) the whole time it is defrosting'
