'If awarded a grant, I will complete coursework through the Soil Foodweb Foundation to become a certified Soil Foodweb Consultant -- gaining the skills and knowledge to help restore soils, grow nutrient-dense food, and sequester carbon to address the climate crisis. I will share this knowledge with the community through an interactive educational booth at farmers markets. The booth will feature a digital microscope magnifying the microscopic life in the soil, such as protozoa, fungi and nematodes, so that the public can see these beautiful creatures and better understand their role in making nutrients bio-available to plants.'
