'This is a copy and paste from my old account. I\'ll use this as an NateAtHome episode From May 2015 Chaliapin Steak Don Recipe: Sirloin Steak White Onions Salt Pepper Rice Butter Umeboshi Paste Potato Starch Red [Cooking] Wine Soy Sauce Directions: 1) Mince onions. 1-2 whole white onions should be enough for one big steak. 2) Slice sirlion steak into a grid pattern, make sure you cut deep enough but not to the point where it turns into chunks 3) Use a tenderizer to pound the sirlion steak until soft. (Use your judgment) 4) Cover front and back of Sirloin Steak with onions and let it sit long enough for the enzymes in unions break down proteins of the meat. 5) Remove onions from steak then season meat with salt and pepper. 6) Put a 1/2 to 3/4 stick of butter in frying pan and preheat pan until butter melts and starts to sizzle. 7) Place steak in the frying pan. Monitor steak until both sides are brown. Keep flipping to avoid burning sides. The juices of the steak should be sipping out and mizing with the butter. 8) Remove steak when you reach the desired form (Rare, Medium Rare, Medium Well, Well-Done). 9) Pour some Red Wine in the juices and pour a tablespoon of potato starch that has been mixed with some water then stir. 10) Place onions and pour some soy sauce and stir till onions are brown, not black. 11) When you\'re rice is ready, mix the Umeboshi Paste with it. I recommend mixing the paste with the rice per serving instead of the entire thing.0 12) Grab a Bowl. Place rice, then the sirlion steak, then the onions with the sauce. 13) Itadakimasu! *I say corn starch a lot but just note I meant to say potato starch.*'
